Autumn knitwear edit: sumptuous and soft natural yarns

By Good Magazine

April 7, 2021

As we transition into the cooler months, a cosy close-fit knit is ideal for staying warm while keeping our cool. And a knit made from natural fibres is the cherry on top to comfort the skin.

This Autumn, it’s all about close-fitting knits paired with layers and stand-out accessories to showcase our style.

We love that local brand hej hej has debuted their 2021 knitwear collection, Goodie Two Hues, using 100% natural yarns – varying blends of silk, cashmere, mohair, cotton and wool that are sumptuously soft.

Perfect for layering with the brand’s luscious linens throughout the cooler months, hej hej’s classic knits Kidman and Barclay are back, and joined by two new shapes, Cloud Cover – a short sleeve v-neck knit in a cotton cashmere blend – and Square Peg – a long-sleeve ribbed knit with a square neckline in a silk cashmere blend.

One half of the hej, Kiki, is based in Shanghai, and the other, Alice, lives in Auckland. This allows the brand to tap into a community of Shanghai workshops and tight knit families of craftsmen and women with experience and passion. You can read and see more about hej hej’s makers and production process here.

hej hej’s Goodie Two Hues knitwear collection is available online at hej-hej.co and in store at The BLOC now. Get your knit on!
