Weleda Global Garden Competition

Weleda, the leading manufacturer of certified natural organic skincare, is announcing the opportunity of a lifetime.

Love natural products? Love travelling? Weleda has the opportunity of a lifetime with it’s Global Garden competition, which will see one lucky winner given the chance to travel the globe for three months in 2018.

From March to June, the selected winner will embark on a carbon-neutral journey to 11 Weleda locations around the world, and come away with an enviable abundance of experiences.

Any person who is a blogger, vlogger, artist, avid photographer or social media superstar should get on board and apply. The ideal Weleda Global Garden applicant will have creative flare as well as a keen interest in social, economic and environmental sustainability and a love for natural organic products.

Full terms and conditions are available from August 8 at www.weledaglobalgarden.com/nzl

The winner will experience first-hand each Weleda location including biodynamic gardens, sourcing projects, biodiversity projects and anthroposophy.

“We are very proud of Weleda, who we are, our foundation, ethics, authenticity and everything we do and produce. We have so many great stories to be told and what better way than for one very lucky person to experience first-hand and do the story telling, as they see it. I wish I could do this amazing trip myself!” says Weleda New Zealand Marketing Manager Helen Wilkes.

Residents from 18 different countries will be able to apply including New Zealand from August 8.

One New Zealand applicant will be selected as the finalist through a public vote and travel to Germany. The 18 finalists will spend a week learning about Weleda with garden and production site visits, product demonstrations and a range of workshops after which the ultimate Weleda Global Garden Winner will be named.

The lucky winner will be awarded a glimpse inside the world of Weleda as they travel to 11 countries, meeting the gardeners and growers, learning about the natural plant ingredients, bee projects, spa treatments, Steiner and spending a few days with the Weleda teams along the way. This is an all expenses paid journey of discovery with flights, accommodation, meals and €10,000 spending money all included!

The Weleda Global Garden Winner will travel to:

* Sydney / Australia                                                   * Havelock / New Zealand

* Buenos Aires / Argentina                                        * Sao Paulo / Brazil

* Zoetermeer / The Netherlands                               * Ilkeston / United Kingdom

* Arlesheim / Switzerland                                         * Huningue / France

* Stockholm / Sweden                                               * Prague / Czech Republic

* Tuscany / Italy

The trip is very much in line with the time-honoured tradition of the Kiwi OE, a grand tour of exploration and discovery. The Weleda Global Garden Winner will get to cross off some epic bucket list locations while learning all about the stories and people behind Weleda. With such a huge scope for creativity, it is an unmissable opportunity for creators of all kinds as the lucky winner will share their journey with the world on the Weleda Global Garden Blog.

Kiwi entrants can submit their profile via www.weleda.co.nz from Tuesday 8th August. Photos, videos, social media and other content can all be used to attract and collect public votes and demonstrate why they should be chosen. Voting closes on September 10, and the New Zealander with the most votes will be named the Weleda Global Garden New Zealand Finalist. From the 9th to the 13th October 2017, all 18 international finalists will assemble in Schwäbisch Gmund, Germany where one will be selected as the Weleda Global Garden Winner.

Full terms and conditions will be available from Tuesday 8th August 2017 at www.weledaglobalgarden.com/nzl
