Here are some tips to open your throat chakra, feel into that sacral to connect with others, beam from your solar plexus with confidence and speak authentically from the heart.
Number one – Good Posture is key to confidence and owning space. Whether on the phone or in front of someone, always have your chest out/ shoulders rolled back and dropped, and your head held high up to the sky. Draw energy and focus into the solar plexus (above your belly button, just before the start of the ribcage) and send the breath there. You can even pump the whole stomach a bit with the breath. Breathe in, expanding the belly, and sharp exhale emptying. You can do this quickly before an important call or communication with someone. Posture and deep belly breathing can instantly elevate your energy.
Number two – Expand your Energy. Imagine all of us have energy all around us and although most can’t see it, we know when someone has invaded our energy field by standing too close. Imagine a golden bubble of light all around you and then you can put the intention to expand your bubble out when you need to make a speech that inspires, or you want to be noticed. When we are depressed or scared our aura or energy field shrinks. When we see singers and speakers that inspire us, their energy is super-rich and it’s captivating. Shine bright! But don’t forget to bring your energy back in as you could get exhausted by having it big all the time.
Number three – Find your Channel. If you are in a job where you are always using a masculine analytical mind, then you need to find balance with feminine, your creative expression. You can find this in writing, singing, drumming, painting, dancing, gardening and you don’t even need to be good at anything. Just start something – anything.
Number four – Move your Trauma Blocks. Don’t let your past take hold of your future. You do have important things to say. Whatever you were told or conditioned through the experiences you’ve had, don’t let the mind take hold of them and influence your life. Find where the energy is in your body through self-awareness and be brave to explore it as it comes up. Journal it, paint out your feelings, sing, dance it out, however it wants to travel through you. Belly scream into pillows, punch boxing bags, slap and kick the ocean waves, stomp your feet, throw rocks into the river. Just move it and keep moving as the tears fall and the anger rages. Energy wants to be moved and transferred. Don’t sit still with emotion, it needs expression to be released. Do this somewhere you feel safe. Seek help from a spiritual mentor or energy worker for more stuck energy that you can’t reach yourself. But just remember your body holds all the answers, it knows exactly what it needs if you listen carefully.
