Cloudy Bay has given Aucklanders even more reason to revel in the warmer season with the launch of its Cloudy Bay Sail Away pop-up dining experience at the iconic Prego restaurant.
If you’re a fan of Cloudy Bay wines then you’re going to love their latest pop-up at Auckland restuarant Prego, which showcases a beautiful new outdoor space where guests can enjoy delicious wines matched with decadent food under the warm spring sun. What used to be an overlooked alleyway, is now a new, Cloudy Bay outdoor dining area that provides a welcoming escape from the outside world.
The refreshed space features natural timbers, luscious greenery, low hanging ambient lighting as well as utilising the existing brick-cobbled path, true to Cloudy Bay’s style of embracing natural elegance and refinement.
Wine lovers who visit the Cloudy Bay Sail Away at Prego pop-up can also enjoy the bespoke menu for guests to enjoy, created by Prego’s head chef Lennox Bull following a visit to Cloudy Bay headquarters in Blenheim. Bull has introduced an inspired new food and wine offering wish includes but is not limited to Marlborough Wild Pork, Ora King Salmon and Cloudy Bay Clams.
A highlight to the Cloudy Bay Sail Away menu is the Cloudy Bay Tasting Tray which features three canapés that are each paired with a Cloudy Bay wine. Guests can enjoy Applewood Smoked Duck Breast served with Damson Plum Jelly and a glass of Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2016, Kaikoura Fromage Blanc, Taylor Pass Honey and Thyme paired with Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2017 and Sugar-Cured Lamb with Crispy Polenta, Pinoli Pine Nuts and KawaKawa matched to the Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2015. There’s also a wonderfu Cloudy Bay Forage Platter on offer.
