Beauty find: Change in your hands

We love the story behind the re-design of The Body Shop’s Hemp Hand Protector – it now comes with extra special point of difference.

EINE working his magic on the CHANGE design

Good already loves The Body Shop‘s range, including their Hemp Hand Protector, but now there’s even more of a reason to head along to the nearest store. With every limited-edition CHANGE Hemp Hand Protector purchased, $3.30 will be donated to The Body Shop Foundation, the charitable arm of The Body Shop International. The Foundation’s goal is to raise $660,000 globally to protect and enrich the planet, including the oceans and animals.

What’s cool is that you, the purchaser, has the ability to vote for a cause closest to your heart in a bid to see the money raised go there. Hence the redesign in the packaging for the product – with the main campaign message being ‘CHANGE.’ Indeed the power to make a positive difference really is in your hands.

This campaign falls under the new commitment made by The Body Shop Foundation, called ‘Enrich Not Exploit’ – that will help The Body Shop deliver the greatest impact as a sustainable business that seeks to protect and nurture the environment and society in every way possible – through their the packaging, the ingredients that go into the products, the campaigns and supporting local producers and communities.

The redesign on the CHANGE Hemp Hand Protector was led by socially conscious street artist EINE, whose pieces have dominated the streets of Berlin, Beijing, London, LA and even been gifted to US President Barack Obama by UK Prime Minister David Cameron on his first official visit to the White House.
