Kate Sylvester X Aleph collab

Red lippy is a failsafe way to dress up any look, instantly, especially if the rest of your face is sans make-up.

It’s bold and confidence-giving, and thanks to a collab between fashion designer Kate Sylvester and award-winning natural cosmetic brand Aleph Beauty, you can now confidently wear this particular lippy knowing that is not harming the planet and kind to your skin.

Together Mindful fashion co-founder Kate Sylvester and Aleph Beauty founder Emma Peters have produced a red lipstick inspired by Kate Sylvester’s AW2024 Gloria collection. They first joined forces last year at New Zealand Fashion Week when Aleph created the beautiful make-up look for Kate Sylvester’s runway show.

Initially drawn to the shared values of mindfulness and sustainability, Kate appreciated that Aleph is transparent about every ingredient, as a clean make-up brand with skincare benefits.

Kate is a fan of natural skin and known “her signature poppy lip”, and now we can get our hands on the double-duty Kate Sylvester x Aleph Beauty Gloria Cheek/Lip tint!

Aleph Beauty founder Emma Peters applies the Gloria Cheek/Lip Tint for Kate Sylvester. It can also be used on the cheeks and comes in glass and aluminium packaging which can be returned via the Re Aleph system.

According to Kate it “balances the glamour of Vanderbilt and the irreverent effortlessness of Steinem” and is named after her AW24 collection muses Gloria Steinem and Gloria Vanderbilt.

The Gloria Cheek/Lip Tint blend is the perfect red with an unexpected pop of orange. The colour is strong, energetic, and engaging and works with as well as brightens every skin tone.

“Everyone who knows me knows I love red lipstick,” says Kate. “I wear it almost like armour when I need to step up to a challenge. Putting it on feels like a daily ritual where I can be ready to take on the day.”
