Wipe and wash the eco way

Washing wash cloths has never been so important as it is right now which is why Good is in love with the Eco Cloth from Good Change.

Making sure surfaces are clean and COVID-19-free feels like a non-stop process right now. It has us washing washcloths more frequently, as well as reaching for hand cream!

That’s why we love the Eco Cloth which is a reusable, eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic-wrapped, microplastic filled kitchen sponges that end up in landfill. And, they are available from more than 75 supermarkets nationwide.

The Swedish-invented Eco Cloth is made from sustainable materials wood pulp and cotton with zero mircroplastics. Packaging is from recycled cardboard packaging. And you can wash and reuse them again and again and again.

Here are some other reasons why we think they are great:

Super absorbent: Each cloth can absorb the equivalent of 15 paper towels – but instead of chucking them, you just quickly wring out to use again.

Long-lasting: They can be used for 6- 9 months. Simply wash them in a dishwasher or washing machine and hang out to dry.

Bacteria fighting: The natural products don’t harbour bacteria or any of those nasty dish cloth smells.

Back to the earth: Once you are finished with them, chuck them in your garden as weed mat or put them in your home compost – they’re 100 per cent compostable.

Design prints: Proving eco doesn’t mean compromising on style, the cloths come in on-trend colours of mustard, forest green and grey.

And, of course, if you can’t get your hands on an Eco Cloth, an old flannel makes a great cleaning cloth. Or if you have an old towel or flannelette sheet with a hole in it, cut it up into squares, then overlock or hem the edges and you’ll have a new set of easily identifiable cleaning cloths in the same colourway.
