As part of World Alzheimers Month, Auckland’s Walk for Dementia event is taking place on Sunday September 18.
There are 15,000 people with dementia in the greater Auckland region – as well as a far wider network of family and friends who are affected by the condition.
This is why Alzheimers Auckland is attempting to raise awareness and funding with their annual event, Walk for Dementia as part of the bigger World Alzheimers month this September.
Join the family friendly 5km walk for all ages, which commences at 9:30am by the fountain in Mission Bay on September 18. With the sun hopefully shining down it should be a glorious morning with plenty of entertainment, refreshments and opportunities to contribute to Alzheimers Auckland.
The registration to complete the walk is free, however, donations and fundraising is encouraged.
