NZ Fashion Week schedule announced

The full list of designers has been revealed for New Zealand Fashion Week which takes place at Aotea Square and Auckland Town Hall from August 23 to 27.

It includes ethical fashion label Kowtow though instead of putting on a runway show it’s hosting a seminar as part of the programme entitled ‘Single Use Planet’.

The seminar will focus on themes around sustainable material and packaging innovation, waste minimisation and the hottest future fashion and beauty trends.

Panellists include Kowtow founder Gosia Piatek, Deadly Ponies founder Liam Bowden and skincare entrepreneur Emma Lewisham with Noelle McCarthy MCing the event.

Fashion Week also turns 20 this year and welcomes back established labels Zambesi, Kate Sylvester, Hailwood, Knuefermann, Kathryn Wilson, Juliette Hogan and Stolen Girlfriends Club.

Hailwood has not missed a show in 20 years, and we’re pretty sure Zambesi hasn’t either!

It also sees the return of Benjamin Alexander who wowed everyone with his stunning collection at NZFW 19.

Emerging brands who are marking their mark include Campbell Luke, Cecilia Kang, Kharl Wirepa and Caitlin Crisp.

The Fashion Weekend programme on August 28 and 29 is not to be missed with Miromoda kicking off the event on Saturday. Shows by Tuesday Label and #Loveponsonbypresents featuring Muse, Carlson, Jason Lingard and Scotties Recycle are not to be missed.
