Art For a Good Cause
Auction on 7 November 2024
Support the Kindness Collective charity this November through Art for Good, hosted at Gow Langsford’s Onehunga gallery. The event showcases exclusive works by 12 renowned New Zealand artists, auctioned with proceeds benefiting children and families in need across the country. Online bidding is live now and closes with a live auction on Thursday 7 November at 7 pm. Viewings are available during gallery hours or by appointment from 31 October to 7 November.

The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is set to hit a major milestone this season, surpassing half a million participants since its humble beginnings in 1992 with just 500 kids. For over 30 years, Sanitarium has aimed to inspire children to get active and build their confidence in a fun and inclusive environment. As iconic as marmite, backyard cricket and jandals, the TRYathlon has become a beloved tradition for Kiwi kids and has grown to be the world’s largest triathlon event for people under 16.
This year, sporting legends and sisters Chelsea and Alana Bremner, both Black Ferns stars, return as TRYathlon ambassadors, inspiring the next generation of young athletes. For more info and to register, click here.

This free to visit exhibition is crafted by Rekha Shailaj, a zero-waste fashion expert and Senior Lecturer in Fashion at Otago Polytechnic. Rekha’s work showcases Indian fashion in a way rarely seen in New Zealand, blending tradition with contemporary elements for a striking visual experience. The exhibit promises a feast for the senses, with incredible opportunities for both stunning imagery and compelling video content.
Featuring vibrant floor-to-ceiling projections and twelve exquisite saris crafted from materials like silk and chiffon, the showcase highlights the sari’s journey from traditional Indian garment to a multicultural fashion icon.
