Five things to know about False Lashes

It’s not often that we get dressed up for a special occasion, but when we do, a stunning gown paired with false lashes is one way to make an appearance.

We talk to cruelty-free lash company Ardell about common false eyelash myths.

Myth 1: False Lashes don’t look natural

Long gone are the days of just lengthy lash styles, and there are plenty of natural options to enhance what is already there, whether it is to accentuate the eye or give the eyelashes a teeny bit of volume. The Ardell Naked Lashes are feather soft and lightweight, and provide a demure effect.

Fake lashes also come in a variety of colours to suit the natural eyelash colour, so you don’t have to go jet-black.

Myth 2: False Lashes are tricky to apply

Applying false lashes doesn’t have to be intimidating, and you can use tools, like Ardell’s dual lash applicator to secure your eyelash in place every time.

The applicator features a tweezer-end to place the lashes on the eye, as well as a softer end to precisely angle the lashes in place.

Myth 3: False Lashes need lash glue

We love innovations in beauty, and magnetic eyelashes are one such example, held in place by magnetic gel liner. You can even purchase the liner in a variety of shades, so again, you don’t have to go jet-black every time!

Myth 4: False Lashes are uncomfortable to wear

Beauty should not equal pain, which is why there are lashes with your comfort in mind. Ardell’s Wispies use InvisibandĀ® technology to allow for a seamless and carefree fit.

Myth 5: False Lashes aren’t cruelty-free

Ardell doesn’t test their products or ingredients on animals, and neither do their suppliers. They also don’t sell their products in countries where animal testing is required by law. We love that!

You can find Ardell products at selected leading pharmacies, Unichem and Life Pharmacies and online at farmers.co.nz.
