Ethique’s founder Brianne West shares tips for fighting the frizz this summer

Sunshine, sea, and summer days can dehydrate your hair, so make sure you fight back with products that nourish and condition to keep your hair in tip-top shape.

Ethique’s founder Brianne West shares her tips for managing your mane through the heat.

The Ethique Frizz Wrangler Bar™ is a solid shampoo for dry and damaged hair that helps keep tresses smooth and shiny, even on the most humid of days. This bar is formulated with fairly traded, super nourishing cocoa butter and creamed coconut butter to soften strands and tame frizz.

For the ultimate frizz-fighting combination, pair Frizz Wrangler with the Ethique Guardian Conditioner Bar™ . Made with cocoa butter, coconut oil, vitamin B5, and lime oil, this zesty bar works wonders at combatting frizz and conditioning hair, leaving it smooth and lush. The result? Silky smooth hair that’s soft to touch and full of life.

Try drying your hair post-wash/post-swim with a cotton t-shirt instead of a towel as friction from a rough towel can lead to more frizz. A soft cotton t-shirt is gentler on strands, and just as absorbent.

Try to pat and squeeze excess water out of strands instead of rubbing it – again, avoiding friction is key. For bonus points: run our conditioner bars lightly through the ends of hair prior to drying to use as a leave-in conditioner!

This can help provide a protective barrier against humidity, or sea salt and/or chlorine from your next swim.

Embrace your natural hair texture. Heat-styling tools and humidity aren’t the best mixes, so if you’ve got curly or wavy hair, summer is the perfect time to show it off! In line with curl care principles, Ethique has released the Professor Curl™ shampoo and Curliosity™ conditioner bars, which are pH-balanced, sulfate-free bars that gently cleanse and deeply condition to promote bouncy, defined curls.

There you have it – quick and easy tips to help you wrangle your hair this summer. When all else fails, opt for a trusty up-do, braid or try reaching for a stylish bucket hat.
