A New Zealand pharmacist has created a revolutionary skincare line designed to simplify routines while delivering long-lasting results. D’Scribe Beauty, created by Christchurch-based pharmacist and cosmetic formulator Lizzie McPike, has earned an impressive 26 international awards in just one year since its launch.

Driven by a personal quest to resolve her own skin concerns, Lizzie developed D’Scribe Beauty with a focus on natural, science-backed ingredients. The range is specifically crafted for mature skin and is garnering acclaim for its multi-functional and transformative products.

“My skin was a constant battle of breakouts and dryness – dull, irritated and so reactive that I was close to giving up,” Lizzie says. Drawing on her expertise as a pharmacist, she spent four years perfecting a minimalist range of four powerful products. “Within two months of using my formulations, my skin transformed: the glow returned, acne cleared and fine lines softened. Today, my skin is stronger, healthier, and more resilient.”

D’Scribe Beauty has secured top honours at prestigious events such as the Beauty Shortlist Awards, Universal Beauty Awards, Natural Health Beauty Awards and the Global Green Beauty Awards. Lizzie says, “I was genuinely surprised to be recognised alongside some of the biggest names in natural skincare.”

The standout product in the range, Kleen Oil-Gel to Milk Cleanser, exemplifies the brand’s innovative approach. This versatile product acts as a cleanser, night balm and face mask. It contains Kumerahou, a New Zealand native plant with natural saponins, offering anti-inflammatory benefits ideal for sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

“Kleen isn’t just a balm or cleansing oil,” Lizzie says. “It starts as a gel, melts into an oil, and transforms into a milk on contact with water. Unlike conventional cleansers, it contains no harsh surfactants, making it gentle enough to double as an overnight hydrating balm.”

Another standout, Aquus Hydrating & Firming Serum, avoids the widely used hyaluronic acid in favour of a plant-based alternative that outperforms it by 41%. Enriched with bio-ferments, wakame algae and barley, Aquus provides long-lasting hydration and is safe for sensitive skin and pregnancy.

D’Scribe Beauty’s approach resonates deeply with its users. Katie, 47, shares her experience:

“I loved the D’Scribe range! Using each product felt like a ritual in itself. Kleen Oil-Gel to Milk Cleanser is perfect for my sensitive skin – both deep cleaning and wonderfully gentle. It was hard to choose, but I think my favourite product is No.29 Phyto-Retinol Rejuvenating Oil Elixir. This nourished my middle-aged skin so well. After a month of using the products, my skin is noticeably softer and more hydrated.”

The range’s ingredients list reads like a who’s who of skincare superstars, featuring wakame algae, totarol, kanuka and manuka honey, kawakawa oil, glacial clay and bakuchiol, among others. Each product is designed to simplify beauty routines while delivering visible, lasting results.

D’Scribe Beauty is establishing itself as a leader in natural, sustainable skincare, empowering mature women with versatile, transformative products. Lizzie ’s minimalist range also includes the Honne Glow Honey Mask, completing the collection with four carefully crafted essentials.

Available online at D’Scribe Beauty, the brand continues to redefine what skincare can achieve for mature, sensitive and reactive skin.
