Not your standard collab

Sharing a commitment to circularity and uncompromising quality, Standard Issue have teamed up with bespoke leather goods label Yu Mei to design a capsule of luxurious knitwear, originally debuted at their AW21 Digital Runway Presentation.

The limited release collection fuses Standard Issue’s history of quality craft and innovation with Yu Mei’s reductive design and attention to detail.

Featuring two mid weight cashmere knits, and an oversized, fine scarf, the styles have been designed with Yu Mei’s ethos of understated luxury and utilitarian simplicity in mind.

Crafted using the finest Cashmere down, grown in Mongolia and spun by the Carriagi family based in the beautiful small town of Smirra, Italy, each piece is made in a slow but rewarding process in Standard Issue’s Auckland workroom, hand-finished with meticulous care by their team of technicians and craftspeople. Knitted in the round in to render them without seams, each knit is made with the promise of zero-waste and a lifetime of wear.

Built upon the brands’ shared vision of timeless design, impeccable detailing and distinct silhouettes, the three-piece capsule collection combines an enduring perspective on dressing with precise design details, to build on the signature of both brands.

This collaboration will be available online and instore on 23 June.
