Heineken Light has teamed up with Art Green for a series of bespoke bootcamps which allow you to have your beer and drink it too this summer
Heineken has collaborated with CleanPaleo co-owner and fitness enthusiast Art Green and top personal trainer Sean Hughes to create the Heineken Light Bootcamp, a bespoke workout that allows you to have your beer and drink it too this summer.
Heineken’s new campaign aims to bring to life just how few calories are in a bottle of Heineken Light. The lower calorie and carbohydrate content of a Heineken Light makes for a perfect, lower-alcohol option for those who enjoy the taste of beer, but don’t want to worry about high calorie consumption.
The Heineken Light Bootcamp is a 30 minute workout which is designed to burn approximately 72 calories every ten minutes – the same number of calories in a 330ml bottle of Heineken Light.
“There is a common misconception that low alcohol beer is loaded with carbs, calories and additives or preservatives, when in fact it’s not nearly as bad as people think when consumed in moderation,” says Taylor Green, Heineken New Zealand Marketing Manager
Heineken Light has approximately 72 calories per 330ml bottle, around half the calories and carbohydrates of Heineken 5 per cent. Just like Heineken 5 per cent, it is also made up of only three natural ingredients – water, malted barley and hops.
Art Green worked closely with Next Gen personal trainer Sean Hughes to create the 30-minute-high intensity circuit workout that aims to get your heart rate up with functional body weight exercises.
For a two-week period from launch, the bespoke Heineken Light workout classes will be available at the Auckland Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Club twice a week. Both existing gym members and the general public will be invited to attend and take part in the sessions. While members can just show up to the sessions at any time, non-members may be issued guest passes to the club that will be valid until the end of the promotion.
The bootcamps are running now with the last session on December 15th.
- Thursday 8th December: 4:45pm – 5:30pm
- Tuesday 13th December: 4:45pm – 5:30pm
