Beauty Booster Smoothie

Photography and styling Aimee Magne.

Go nuts for this smoothie – and reap the benefits with glowing, gorgeous skin, strong nails and beautiful hair.

The hero ingredient in this recipe is macadamia nuts, which are a great snack for when you’re on the run.

They are high in protein and monounsaturated fats.

The former is great for cell growth.

What I mean by that, is nuts are a great thing to add into your diet if you want to look good.

They also taste super yummy.

You just might have to hide them if you have a household like mine (my eldest son can scoff an entire bag of macadamia nuts in one sitting).

Salted Macadamia and Vanilla Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

1 frozen banana

½ cup each oat milk and coconut milk

3 dates (soak these in hot water for 10 minutes prior if not fresh)

1 generous tablespoon macadamia and vanilla nut butter*

1 tablespoon tahini

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

sea salt

METHOD

Place the ingredients in a blender and mix.

Pour into a cup and enjoy!

Note: We put bee pollen on top for styling, but this is optional, it’s delicious with or without the topping.

*Forty Thieves one is amazing… otherwise you can make your own by soaking a cup of raw macadamia nuts overnight in water and then blend them the next day – use 1 tablespoon from this for the recipe and use the rest to put on toast. Or if you own a powerful blender, you can blitz them raw, whole and unsoaked.
