Jobs
- Keep feeding soil with nutrients. Choose plant-specific nutrients that have been formulated especially for those vegetable plant needs.
- Protect young seedlings from slugs and snails.
- An application of seaweed plant tonic or other marine-type product will keep veges thriving.
- Empty your compost bin. It’s ready when not the consistency of lumpy soil. Don’t plant straight away though, allow it to mix and settle as it will be too rich. Frost can bite – be vigilant and drape frost cloth over but not touching the plants. If it is too close, a hard frost will freeze it to the plants.
