Bellabox is a beauty subscription service that recently launched in New Zealand. They offer a monthly subscription service as well as one-off niche limited-edition gift boxes. We teamed up with bellabox to create a Conscious Beauty Box featuring an array of our favourite beauty products. Here’s why we picked each item.
Mellow Cosmetics Creamy Matte Lipstick – Blossom
We picked this gorgeous lipstick because we love the fact that it’s designed and developed in New Zealand. It’s also paraben free and recyclable, which are important factors to us. And that Blossom colour is stunning!
Ethique Frizz Wrangler Shampoo Bar
To start with, this one smells amazing. And the great thing we love about this shampoo bar is that it features the equivalent of three bottles of shampoo, without the plastic bottles. The packaging that it does come in is compostable as well.
Red Seal Baking Soda Toothpaste
What we like about this toothpaste is that it’s paraben free, instead using natural antimicrobial protection from the Totara tree. Using more natural products backed up with scientific research and development is something we look out for, and this toothpaste ticks those boxes.
Weleda Wild Rose Pampering Body Oil
Everyone needs a moment of relaxation in their day, and just a whiff of this beautiful oil can calm the senses. Smooth this gorgeous oil on your skin and you’re in for a real treat.
Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil
We love products that are designed to not only rejuvenate our skin, but also refresh the mind as well. And we also love products that focus on organic. We picked these bottles of natural beauty because their list of “free from” is extensive! There are no petrochemicals, PEGs, propylene glycol, mineral oils, phenoxyethanol, EDTA, sulphates, silicones, parabens, animal derivatives, PABA or artificial fragrances and colours. It’s nice to know what you’re feeding your skin is better for you and the planet.
Zuii Organic Certified Organic Flora Self-Tanning Foam
An organic self-tanning option to replace baking in the sun is great. We love that Zuii have focused on providing organic solutions for an activity that would usually be very damaging to our skin.
Holistic Hair Salt of the Earth Volumising and Texturising Spray
We tend to put our hair through a lot — just think of all the heat we inflict on it when we’re straightening and curling. This spray uses Himalayan pink salt, epsom salts and fruit extracts to create a gorgeous 99 per cent natural origin product that’s made here in New Zealand to give us fuller, thicker hair.
Skinfood NZ Coconut and Cucumber Hydrating Mask
This lovely hydrating mask is made here in New Zealand, and we also love the fact that it’s paraben free and responsibly sourced. The mask is also made from bamboo, which is a wonderful touch.
