Traversing innovative textures and materials, Deadly Ponies embarks on a new expedition

Delve into Deadly Ponies’ Fall Winter ‘22, experimenting with sharp shades and effervescent reflections in an icy palette.

The collection takes inspiration from Antarctic exploration, following the journey of historical Australian photographer, Frank Hurley, his pup Blizzard, and his polar voyages undertaken in the early 20th Century.

As the sunset hits the Antarctic tundra, Part I explores soft shades of yuzu, macadamia, and truffle painting the dusk sky, before long nights descend with the return of coveted hue, ink.

Discover Deadly Ponies’ first foray into pebbled Stingray-embossed leather in a custom, hand-painted decadent truffle, complemented alongside macadamia python prints hand-painted in Italy.

Dipped in coconut ice, coveted classics take a deliciously playful turn for Part II, with the introduction of a two-toned leather and the return of the new Stingray-effect texture in vibrant pink hues reminiscent of the sugary treat.

For a cosy addition, an ultra-plush and fluffy Spanish Shearling arrives in time for the crisp weather in steel and black shades complimenting a Deadly Ponies exclusive; the explorer-inspired Polar Rider and Polar Hat.

Long winter nights envelop our newest Voyage collection, with the introduction of ink alongside our first gunmetal hardware.

The closing capsule for the season celebrates historical photographer, explorer, and filmmaker Frank Hurley’s earliest Antarctic adventures, through a digitally printed, gradation series.

“Frank Hurley was known for his daring imagery, he was self-taught, and handpicked to accompany Sir Douglas Mawson’s first voyage to Antarctica, then joining the army as a war photographer. His fearless approach to his art, and his courage to explore the unknown, have really inspired me to innovate within this collection” says creative director, Liam Bowden.

Part III explores icy steel hues, complemented by creamy basil tones and our ombre sunflower gradient, referencing the stately Emperor Penguin, and application carried across to the charming Mr Emperor, a hero crossbody piece for the season.

Deadly Ponies’ Fall Winter ‘22 collection is available across three unique parts, beginning its exploration from February 2022.
