Eden Park is a venue of significance to house Mandela My Life: The Official Exhibition. Back in 1981, flour bombs were dropped there in protest of the Apartheid regime and the ongoing imprisonment of Nelson Mandela.
The exhibition is described as a rare and touching glimpse into the personal life of Nelson Mandela and is part of a five-year worldwide tour. Auckland is its second stop after its showcase at Melbourne Museum.
Produced by iEC Exhibitions, Museums Victoria and TEG Live in collaboration with The Nelson Mandela Foundation, the exhibition showcases more than 200 original artefacts, documents, personal items and artworks from both The Nelson Mandela Foundation as well as Nelson Mandela’s private collection.
The exhibition opens on Saturday 13 April, and will be open daily from 10am. You can book tickets now via Ticketek. Book your tickets now
