Good editor poses in her underwear

It’s a provocative headline and it’s true! Good editor Carolyn Enting recently agreed to pose in her underwear, for a good cause of course.

She is pictured here wearing a pair of Bum Huggers by not-for-profit Great Full and modelling the ‘Cool Cat’ design by artist Hayley ‘Flox’ King with whom Good is a regular collaborator.

One hundred per cent of profits from Great Full’s NZ-made organic cotton bum huggers go to Bowel Cancer New Zealand.

Carolyn admits this shoot was way outside her comfort zone though photographer Carolyn Haslett made her feel totally at ease on the day.

“The prospect of being photographed in my undies was terrifying but I didn’t hesitate saying ‘yes’ because I lost my beautiful Mum to bowel cancer,” says Carolyn. “I’ve since learned that bowel cancer can be avoided if you have early and regular checks. I now have colonoscopies – every two-three years. On my first colonoscopy they found 2 polyps which they removed and tests showed they were benign. The crazy thing is you of course have no idea that they are there and left unchecked, polyps can become cancerous in the bowel so it is important to have them removed as a preventative measure.”

You can also help fight bowel cancer by shopping the collection. There are styles for men and women, each pair costs $40, and feature fabulous illustrations by some of New Zealand’s leading artists Dick Frizzell, Hayley ‘Flox’ King, Michel Tuffery, Shane Hansen Ruby Jones and Tanja ‘Misery’ McMillan.
