Iconic intimates brand Bendon Lingerie this week announced New Zealand netball star Kayla Cullen as the face of its innovative new essentials range, Bendon Body
Made for supreme comfort, the new Bendon Body essentials range has been designed to move with the body by utilising cool, stretch fabric knitted with spandex. The collection, of which Silver Ferns netball star Kayla Cullen is the new face of, offers a range of essential styles including a crop, front close, wireless and contour bras using the latest in intimates design and technology.
Cullen stars in the vibrant campaign with a group of dancers, depicting in a range of beautiful body shapes and sizes, and all moving freely in the product, emphasising the campaign’s motive, ‘Made to Move’.
Says Cullen, “Having grown-up with Bendon Lingerie in New Zealand, it’s a huge honour to be part of the brand. The Bendon Body range is so supportive, comfortable, lightweight and versatile. It’s the ultimate essentials collection and perfect for those on the move. It’s so important women feel free and unrestricted in lingerie, for me, it’s essential,” she says.
Cullen adds she typically doesn’t like wearing bras. “Purely because I don’t like how uncomfortable they are. I live in my sports bras, but after I tried the Bendon Body on I realised I could get used to wearing them… I probably should started wearing bras!”
At the launch of the new line, Cullen discussed how important it was that the campaign features a range of body sizes.
“We’re so influenced by what we see in the media and social media today, I think it’s really important to have role models of people that aren’t just a size six.I wanted to showcase my athletic size and I think for other women who want to get into this industry or modeling, it’s okay to be a bit more muscly, you don’t have to be strictly a size six.”
To prove just how comfortable the range is, Bendon is giving away a free Bendon Body Bra to the first 100 customers who bring in their most uncomfortable bra to selected Farmer’s stores on August 19. From August 20-28, Bendon will run the ‘Great Bra Buy Back’ in selected Farmer’s stores by buying customers most uncomfortable bras and providing a gift voucher in return to shop the Bendon Body collection.
