“Those of us who enjoy solo or partnered pleasure can now do so in a more eco-conscious way.”

As Good’s Innovation Curator, I’m usually researching technology and interviewing sustainability heroes. It’s not every day that a multi-head vibrator shows up in my mailbox—an unexpected perk of the job, I must say.

I had the distinct pleasure of trying out Good Vibes’ love. not war. collection of environmentally conscious vibrators, crafted from recycled aluminium with soft, supple silicone where it touches your skin. As someone who’s already transitioned my wardrobe and beauty routine to local, organic, and sustainable choices, it felt oddly incomplete not to have those same ethical options for intimate wellness.

I’m delighted to report that those of us who enjoy solo or partnered pleasure can now do so in a more eco-conscious way.

Design that actually makes sense

The first thing that struck me was the attractive and clever modular design. You get one powerful motorised base, the “Power of Love Battery Base”, with multiple interchangeable heads to swap out—brilliant for exploring different sensations without cluttering your bedside drawer. The base features one elegant button that’s easy to locate during passionate moments, and the charging port is smartly concealed when the base screws onto the head.

The texture immediately caught my attention too. It’s soft-to-the-touch, high-quality silicone over a firm but flexible body that feels reassuringly well-made.

Needless to say, I was excited to put it through its paces.

Performance that delivers

I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful patterns and rhythms love.not war has programmed into this toy. The classic prolonged buzz offers not three but four different speeds, culminating in an intensity that would surely send you to the moon. The other patterns are elegant and effective—none of those joke-inducing S.O.S. rhythms that leave you laughing rather than moaning.

The sustainability story that actually matters

Here’s where things get genuinely impressive. The British brand behind this range follows three simple rules that’ll make your eco-heart sing: reduce, reuse, recycle.

Smart design choices

They’ve minimised waste by creating one universal battery base that works with multiple interchangeable heads. Buy once, expand your collection guilt-free. Genius, right?

Instead of more plastic clogging up our oceans, these beauties are built primarily from recycled aluminium. Here’s why that matters: aluminium is one of the most widely recycled materials globally, with up to 98% of the world’s aluminium currently being recycled.

Even the packaging gets it right

Everything arrives in natural brown cardboard (no wasteful dyeing process) with that FSC logo you love to see. They use eco-friendly soy ink, throw in a repurposable storage bag, and yes—even the glue is eco-friendly. I mean, who thinks of that?

Awards and accessibility

The company recently snagged an EAN Sustainability Award—their sixth award for leading the charge in sustainable intimate wellness. And here’s the kicker for us Kiwis: Good Vibe is the only stockist bringing this range to Aotearoa New Zealand.

love.not war even offset their e-commerce carbon footprint and pay fair wages. It’s like they actually give a damn about people and the planet.

This is truly the most elegant, ergonomic, well-thought-out and ethical sexual wellness product I’ve ever had the pleasure to encounter. I highly recommend giving it a go—it’s so beautifully designed it deserves to be left on the nightstand, not hidden in the drawer.
