Easter crafts with Brother: Decorated eggs

Butterflies and eggs are ancient Easter symbols due to the season’s traditional themes of resurrection and new life. Use them to make beautifully decorated hard boiled eggs.

You will need:

•           Hard boiled eggs of different shades and sizes.

•           Fine tip black marker pen

•           Paper butterflies sheets to print

•           Glue stick or paper glue and paintbrush

•           Printer

•           Brother ScanNCut paper cutting machine

Instructions

1. Hard boil eggs by placing them in a pot, cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Cook at a rolling boil for 1 minute.

2. Turn off the heat, cover and leave the pot on the stove for a further 10-12 minutes.

3. Drain the cooking water and run eggs under the cold tap until they are cool. Drain and dry the shells

4. Use a fine tip black marker pen to write on messages of hope and love.

5. Use a Brother printer to print out the butterfly sheets. Feed these paper sheets into your Brother ScanNCut to scan and cut out the butterflies. Fold the wings in the centre of each butterfly and attach to eggs with a small drop of paper glue.
