We’re celebrating Bee Aware Month by giving a Bees Up Top beehive to one lucky Aucklander.
Bees Up Top aim to increase New Zealand’s bee population by rescuing swarms of bees and re-homing them to urban areas in Auckland city. Their rescue hives are placed in backyards or on top of buildings, and are checked by beekeeper Jessie once a month. At Christmas time the honey is extracted and given to owners in personalised honey jars!
