PACKD Lunch founders, Bettina Garnier and Laura Burley, have set up a Kickstarter to make the PACKD Lunch containers a reality. So far they have raised over $22K of their nearly $28K goal on Kickstarter, with time running out on 16 August 2019.
The duo met while living in London, and they both have a passion for ditching disposable packaging. Garnier says, “We want to make it easy and fun for everyone to take a step in the right direction for the Earth.”
The brand’s reusable lunchbox is different from others on the market with its cutlery compartment, ergonomically rounded bowl, 100 per cent leak-proof design and microwavable and dishwasher features. The lunchbox is manufactured using glass and recycled single-use water bottles.
A positive response was received after a pilot of their product was conducted in London, with 96 per cent of employees who tired it out saying they would use a BYO lunch box again.
The brand aims to launch in October 2019 following the fulfillment of their Kickstarter goal. To pledge money to the start-up check out their Kickstarter
