Three years ago Claire Deek was working as a corporate lawyer. She is now getting ready to tour New Zealand to share her lifestyle and real food journey.

Deek’s countrywide tour, Mothers on a Mission, aims to teach mothers how to save time and money making delicious, yet healthy, kids lunch boxes.

Deek has been blogging her and her families real food choices since 2014 on her blog ‘Dom’s Kitchen’ – named after her son and little helper, Dominic. The blog’s large social following motivated Deek to take the step toward this event.

“The tour is inspired by the many mums across New Zealand who reach out to me on a daily basis. Mums who want to nourish their families with real food but, in a world full of highly processed and chemically laden foods, don’t know where to start and which brands to trust,” Deek says.

The full time mother and blogger was originally inspired when she had a ‘light bulb moment’ at Sydney airport, heading back to NZ, one day. “I came across the I Quit Sugar book by a popular Australian journalist Sarah Wilson… I started looking at what we as a family were eating in a whole new way”.

Deek says she definitely doesn’t see this way of eating as a fad or diet but rather as a way of life.

Mothers on a Mission starts on October 12. For more information check out: http://domskitchen.co.nz/events/
