Boh Runga: Gardening for Wellbeing

Good magazine’s “Gardening Special” (issue 77) is filled with inspiration for novices and gardening aficionados. It covers everything from gardening for wellbeing to what to plant, apartment gardens, vertical gardens and more, as well as super salad recipes from Two Raw Sisters to make from your homegrown produce.

Boh Runga shares her love/obsession with houseplants, and Annabel Langbein provides tips for gardening – north and south – from her home in Wanaka, plus her epic Bacon & Egg Pie recipe.

Langbein says she has never been fitter since permanently moving south from Auckland to Wanaka, where she grows 32 different types of edible plants.

Did you know that 30 minutes of gardening is equivalent to the number of calories you burn playing a game of badminton?

Good also deep dives into plant milks and dairy to determine which one is best.

As well as the brave and bright new world of ethical modelling; life after breast cancer; and the effectiveness of beauty boosters and ones to try.

The inspirational Jess Quinn talks about her new book Standing Still: What I’ve Learned from a Life Lived Differently, and why she’s on a mission to normalise “different”.

And Dr Alice Boyes has some great advice for what to do when you are feeling overwhelmed. And that’s just the highlights!
