Beauty benefits: detox your skin with charcoal clay

PRODUCED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LIVING NATURE AND GOOD

The Living Nature Charcoal Clay Mask was one of the most coveted products in our recent Go Green goody bags. We were gifted this multi-award-winning product to try it out for ourselves, see what all the hype was for and if it lived up to our Good seal of approval (and yes, it really did).

There’s nothing better than a detox across all areas of our lives, including caring for our skin.

If your complexion is a little dull, dry or irritated, it may be due to chemicals and toxins that have accumulated on the surface of your skin, diffusing into the layers.

With air pollution a contributing risk to our health and skin, a charcoal clay mask is one way to restore skin balance and achieve a healthy and refreshed complexion.

We were fortunate to try out the Living Nature certified nature Charcoal Clay Mask, and after regular use for a month, we can say it lived up to our expectations.

Living Nature Charcoal Clay Mask

The Charcoal Clay Mask is formulated to combat skin pollution by detoxing, purifying, and strengthening the skin.

We used the Charcoal Clay Mask twice-weekly, applying liberally to the face (and avoiding the eye area). Just 20 minutes of application, and you’ll feel ready to wipe off the dried mousse-like formulation. We recommend using a soft cloth or reusable microfibre towel.

After a week of use, the skin was softer, smooth to touch, and noticeably more nourished, a pleasant surprise after spending a little too much time in the sun coupled with working in an air-conditioned environment. And there’s no better feeling than waking up with a fresh, smooth and hydrated face, ready to take on the day.

The Charcoal Clay Mask is a multi-award winning product, harnessing many good ingredients like active Bincho Tan Charcoal, Halloysite Clay, Avocado Oil, Organic Manuka Honey and Vitamin E.

Intriguingly, the ingredient Bincho Tan Charcoal has been used for centuries in Japan due to its purifying properties and is sustainably sourced and derived from the Ubame Oak Tree, a hardwood grown in the southern Kishu area of Japan.

The Charcoal Clay Mask is suitable for all skin types and for everyone desiring clear, healthy and bright skin. Before commencing first use, don’t forget to patch test, and always cleanse and exfoliate beforehand.
