In partnership with Babydoll Wines and Trilogy, Good magazine is hosting a screening of Battle of the Sexes, one of the most anticipated films for 2017, at Rialto Cinemas, Newmarket.
Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and starring Academy Award winner Emma Stone and funny man Steve Carell, Battle of the Sexes recounts the electrifying 1973 tennis match between world number one Billie Jean King (Stone) and ex-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs (Carell) which was billed as the Battle of the Sexes and became the most watched televised sports event of all time. The match caught the zeitgeist and sparked a global conversation on gender equality, spurring on the feminist movement.
