Wagamama’s nutritious kids menu wins Munch Award.
Wagamama has won the Best Kids Food Menu 2018 Munch Award for its healthy and nutritious meal offerings for children.
The Munch Food Awards, from eco-friendly kitchen company Munch, aim to raise awareness of the good and the bad of the kids food industry and help fight against obesity in New Zealand.
Munch collaborated with The Heart Foundation for the category to celebrate their Kids’ Choice initiative.
The Heart Foundation food service advisor Asher Regan chose to award Wagamama over the nine other shortlist nominees for its adherence to the Kids’ Choice guidelines.
“Wagamama has shown a long-term commitment to providing healthier children’s meals that are both tasty and nutritious,” says Regan.
The Kids’ Choice initiative encourages restaurants, cafes and bars to offer healthy options to kids with a focus on wholegrains, fruit and vegetables and less fried food.
Wagamama enjoys embracing the positive change of more healthy and conscious eating.
It offers the best food it can to little ones, instead of the traditional pizza or fried foods that for a long time were the only options available.
The kids menu includes dishes like mini yasai ramen, mini chicken cha han and hoki fish bites.
Parents can join their kids in slurping their noodles as they too enjoy the tasty Asian-inspiredofferings and relax with their favourite drink.
On the main menu are hot and nourishing ramen bowls, super-tasty teppanyaki stir-fry noodles and warming donburi bowls of rice, alongside healthy salads, fresh juices and delicious cooked and pickled vegetable sides.
The satisfying flavoursome bowls are perfect for a comforting, wholesome meal this Spring.
The restaurant’s longevity in New Zealand is down to its delicious, nutritious, high-quality food with a playful touch.
Its fresh ingredients mean that the dishes are healthy and good for you, yet still tasty so customers leave feeling both satisfied and refreshed.
Wagamama’s hot and nourishing ramen bowls, super-tasty teppanyaki stir-fry noodles and warming donburi bowls of rice and space are perfect at any time, while the healthy salads, fresh juices and delicious cooked and pickled vegetable sides will reinvigorate you from the inside.
