Melbourne Cup Day at Ellerslie Racecourse.
Despite the Melbourne Cup being held in Australia, it is one of the most anticipated events on New Zealand racing calendar, especially at Ellerslie Racecourse.
Thousands are expected to descend on Ellerslie Racecourse on November 6 for what is being picked as the biggest Melbourne Cup Day party in Auckland.
Set in front of an entertaining backdrop of fine hospitality, fashion and live horse racing (a thrill offered nowhere else in the city), it’s the next best thing to Flemington.
There will be live coverage from Melbourne, with the big race, the Lexus Melbourne Cup being screened live at 5pm.
